Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s wedding might be happening sooner than you think!

Shelton spoke with host Hoda Kotb about the all-star couple’s tentative wedding plans after they got engaged in October during an interview on TODAY With Hoda & Jenna on Wednesday (March 31). As the NBC singing competition series returns for season 21, with Ariana Grande replacing Nick Jonas as one of the new coaches, the Voice coach isn’t planning on waiting until next fall to tie the knot.

“If she and I wait until November, I’m afraid I’ll be back on The Voice. And I’d like to have as much time as i can get before that, so hopefully this summer,” he said.

The singer of “God’s Plan” joked that he and Stefani, 51, would marry before Kotb, 56, and her fiancé, Joel Schiffman, walk down the aisle.

Who all will be playing in Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s ‘Concert Wedding’?

The specifics, including the wedding band, are still a mystery to the country singer. Miley Cyrus and Adam Levine have also expressed interest, with the latter recently saying he “would love” to do the honors, despite the fact that Shelton had already thrown Levine’s name into the hat last winter without ever asking the former Voice coach.

Shelton joked with Kotb, “With the amount of singers offering to perform, it’s starting to sound like a Coachella event here all of a sudden. We have no idea, and I’d love to be able to accept everyone’s offer and have this incredible concert wedding.”

Shelton and Stefani’s concert wedding seems to have a greater chance of happening than the actual Coachella Festival, which had been cancelled ahead of April 2021.

After Gwen complimented Miley’s voice on Instagram earlier this year, Miley gushed about how she would love to perform at the couple’s future wedding. As for Adam, it was Blake  who suggested that Maroon 5 perform at his wedding.

Earlier this month, Adam joked on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up “They can’t afford me.” But then he said “They haven’t approached me about it yet. I’d love it—first and foremost, I was literally texting with them. They have a special place in my heart. It’s funny you brought them up because I just texted them 10 minutes ago, saying, ‘I miss you guys.’ ‘I love you both.'”

Unfortunately, nothing has been finalized yet.
