The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones are now available for purchase. With the OnePlus 9 series, OnePlus has almost reached the Rs 70,000 price bracket in India, making it the company’s most expensive series to date.
OnePlus 9: Most expensive Smartphone
After much speculation and excitement, the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro were officially unveiled on Tuesday at a virtual gathering. The latest OnePlus flagships feature Hasselblad cameras and are fuelled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 processor. The OnePlus 9 is an update to the OnePlus 8T, while the OnePlus 9 Pro is the successor to the OnePlus 8 Pro.
Aside from the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, the Chinese company also unveiled the OnePlus 9R, which offers a budget-friendly yet flagship-like experience. It also unveiled the much-anticipated OnePlus Watch, which features a circular shape and supports Warp Charge quick charging.
OnePlus 9 Series Prices:
- The 8GB + 128GB storage version of the OnePlus 9 costs Rs. 49,999 in India, while the 12GB + 256GB storage model costs Rs. 54,999.
- The OnePlus 9 Pro, on the other hand, costs Rs. 64,999 for the 8GB + 128GB storage model and Rs. 69,999 for the 12GB + 256GB storage version.
- The 8GB + 128GB storage model costs Rs.39,999, while the 12GB + 256GB storage model costs Rs. 43,999.
- The OnePlus Watch is priced at Rs. 16,999.
JerryRigEverything put the OnePlus 9 Pro through a list of reliability checks, and it passed.
The OnePlus 9 Pro scratches at level six, with deeper grooves at level seven, according to the Mohs hardness test, as can be seen in the video. Glass scratches at a level of five or six, indicating that the phone worked as anticipated. Scratching the area where the in-display fingerprint scanner is located with a level seven tool had no effect on the scanner’s output, and it consistently detected Nelson’s fingerprint.
Then there was a “lighter to the screen” drill, in which the flame was held directly at the screen for 40 seconds and, shockingly, nothing happened. As Zack tried to bend the OnePlus 9 Pro for the final structural rigidity test, it bent slightly but did not crack or lose its form. After the inspection, there were no holes in the screen or body of the handset.
According to JerryRigEverything’s extensive testing, the OnePlus 9 Pro is a fairly well-built handset. The OnePlus 9 Pro will be available in India starting April1, while the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9R will be available starting April 15. The OnePlus Community can get their hands on the latest OnePlus 9 Pro on March 31 as part of an early access sale before it goes on sale to the general public.
