WhatsApp, the most used messaging app may introduce a ‘playback speed’ feature in the audio messages. Here’s all you need to know about.
Playback Speed Feature
The instant messaging app, which is widely used all over the world is trying its best to roll out new features and provide a better user experience without glitches and new updates.
WhatsApp, is apparently trying out a new feature, that is, ‘playback speed’ feature. In this one can change the playback speed of the audio messages to 1x (the standard speed), 1.5x and 2x.
This new feature will prove to be a savior of time as for the people who speak in a very slow pace. People can just increase the speed and get rid of the unnecessary time to listen to a slow voice note.
Who will get access to this feature?
This new feature which is still in testing phase will first roll out for the iOS users. WhatsApp version 2.21.60.11 will come with this feature. The feature is currently in beta version.
WABetaInfo has also said that there will be a beta program named “WhatsApp Web Beta” both for iOS and Android users which will allow the users to use WhatsApp Web without having their smartphones connected to the Internet.
In a recent update, WhatsApp has also introduced the ‘mute video’ feature which is available in apps like Instagram and Snapchat. Here in this feature one can mute the audio of a video before sharing it.
There is no official announcement as to when these new features will roll out for the beta users and for the normal user. As it is still in the testing phase, we can expect it to be available in the coming months.
