The famous comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine, set in a police precinct, will end after its upcoming eighth season, according to NBC. Which means no more Jake & Amy, no more Boyle obsessing over food & Jake and no more Captain Holt’s expressionless humor!

What Is Brooklyn Nine-Nine About?
Dan Goor and Michael Schur produced Brooklyn Nine-Nine, an American police procedural comedy television series. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), a talented yet immature NYPD detective in Brooklyn’s fictitious 99th Precinct, is the protagonist of the show.
The series start when Captain Raymond Holt gains command of the 99th Precinct in Brooklyn, which includes Detective Jake Peralta, a gifted but carefree detective who is used to doing whatever he wants. Detective Amy Santiago, Jake’s overachieving and competitive partner; Detective Rosa Diaz, a formidable and reserved coworker; Detective Charles Boyle, Jake’s best friend who also has a crush on Rosa; Detective Sergeant Terry Jeffords, who was recently took off from the field following the birth of his twin daughters; and Gina Linetti, the cynical secretary of the 99th precinct.
Fox scheduled 13 episodes for the first season of the single-camera sitcom, which was later extended to 22 episodes. The first episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine aired on September 17, 2013.
What to Expect from Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 and When is it Premiering?
Season eight will mainly concentrate on the Black Lives Matter movement, with four previously scheduled episodes being scrapped in order to refocus on this crucial subject. It’s a difficult topic to tackle, but we should expect the police to be depicted in a more strong and raw light. The idea that breaking the law for a good cause is acceptable is a fallacy that must be debunked.
When we enter the eighth season, we face a new challenge: changing people’s perceptions of the police.
The series was cancelled by Fox on May 10,2018, after five seasons. The series was renewed by NBC the next day for a sixth season, which premiered on January 10, 2019. In February 2020, the seventh season premiered.
The ten-episode eighth and final season will air in the television season 2021–22.
