Fast and Furious fans have to wait for a little longer to see their favorite family barbecue.
With a surprising announcement, Universal Pictures has pushed the release date of one of the highest anticipated movies of this year. They announced that F9 a.k.a Fast and Furious 9 will be out on June 25, 2021. Three days after the 20th anniversary of the classic and original Fast and Furious installment.
It has been a long year since the first trailer made its debut and surprised fans by revealing it. That John Cena is Dom’s brother and Sung Kang. Who was believed to be dead a long ago is still alive.
Since then, Universal has been struggling with the release date of F9, first amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The release date was pushed from May 2020 to April 2, 2021. But then due to some issues in the organization the date was delayed to May 28, 2021. And now the declining theater business has again made, Universe reshuffle the release date.
Recently, while having an exclusive chat with EW, Van Diesel talked about some of the alluring facts about the 9th installment of the franchise. From the possibility of witnessing the action-sequence filmed in space to fan-turned-actor. Helen Mirren finally getting the chance to try her hands on the staring wheel.
“Eager to Share it” Said, Vin Diesel
“Definitely eager to share it,” Diesel said of F9. “When you make a good movie, your first goal is to make something that you can be proud of. And in the film business you learn from the very beginning that when the film gets released. Even without the pandemic, is rarely in your control. But when you really think about the quality of the movie. There’s more time you have to work in post-production. More time to get the shots right; it does give you a little bit of a cushion.
