Season 2: Ready To Release
Season 2 of High School Musical: The Series will premiere on Disney+ on May 14. The announcement was done on Wednesday (Feb. 24) amid the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour. Tim Federle told EW that season 2 is more of a Beauty and the Beast than a High School Musical 2.
Tim interviewed saying, “Beauty and the Beast is not only one of my favorite scores — the music is so emotional — but it allows us to see these kids cast in roles that might surprise you. And also just scenically and costume design-wise and musically, it’s so different from High School Musical that it’s just a nice way to expand.”
Who is returning?
(Spoilers) As one saw in Season 1 Nini and Ricky said ‘I Love You’ to each in the finale episode. So it is confirmed that the new couple will start a new journey, exploring their relationship. Olivia Rodrigo is definitely returning for season 2 along with Joshua Bassett.
