Duffer brothers produced an American sci-fi horror mystery-thriller which was released on Netflix. This television series has three seasons which were premiered from 2016- 2019. Moreover, the fourth season was on hold because of the global pandemic. Later on, it was decided that the fourth season will be released in 2021.
So the series is about a fictional town Hawkins which is in Indiana. The first season deals with the disappearing of Will buyers, a young boy who is likely to feel supernatural events around him. Moreover, a young girl with psychokinetic powers enters the story. The second season shows more spice in the story where Bill is dealing with the side effects of an upside-down world. Then the third season showed the relationship of Mike, one of the kids from the group and Eleven, a girl with psychokinetic powers.
Therefore this series became widely famous among people and it received a lot of appreciation for characterization, atmosphere, acting, soundtrack, directing and writing. Furthermore, they received numerous awards and nominations which include 39 Primetime Emmy Award nominations (and six wins), four Golden Globe Award nominations, a British Academy Television Award nomination, two Directors Guild of America Award nominations, three Writers Guild of America Award nominations, and three Grammy Award nominations. And won Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, two American Film Institute awards, a Critics’ Choice Television Award, and three People’s Choice Awards.
Stranger Things- Season 4 darkest of all seasons
Buckle up! Another season with a bang is about to release. The fourth, much-awaited, season will b premiered soon. One of the spoilers was received from the teaser which was released on Netflix. The teaser unveiled the existence of Hopper. The policeman who kept Eleven safe with himself died in the last episode of the previous season. But the teaser unveiled his return to season four. However, we can see the change in the location as well.
“Every season it gets darker. Really, I will say with Season 3 I was like, this is the darkest season that there’ll ever be, like the exploding rats and everything. But really, Season 4 so far, it’s the darkest season there’s ever been. Every year, it gets amped up. Every year it gets funnier and darker and sadder, and everything. Every year, they amp it up,” says Finn Wolfhard, who’s playing Mike Wheeler in the series, in the interview with CBC Listen’s q with Tom Power.
Although, the fourth season is late to be premiered but we can believe that this season will have more spice in it. Looking at the amount of spics the creators are adding with each season, season four won’t disappoint us.
