Well good news for all Bridgerton fans, as season 2 has been officially confirmed and they will start filming in the spring of 2021. The second season will probably highlight the love life of the eldest Bridgerton sibling, Anthony Bridgerton. The plot is adapted from Julia Quinn’s The Duke & I. Going by Quinn’s book, Anthony will find a love connection with the fiery Kate Sheffield. Even, creator Chris Van Dusen shared his thoughts regarding season 2, saying, “Anthony is going to have a love interest and it’s going to be as sweeping and as beautiful as viewers have come to expect from the show,”.

According to reports, Regé-Jean Page, Phoebe Dynevor, Jonathan Bailey, Golda Rosheuvel, Julie Andrews would all be returning for the second season. Talks are also going on that the Sex Education star Simone Ashley would also be featured as a female lead role in Bridgerton Season 2.

In an interview with OprahMag.com, Regé Jean Page says, “I think there are a lot of good stories to be told in this world. There’s a plethora of characters and each of those characters has cousins, uncles, and dogs, and I think people enjoy exploring all of those depths and nooks and crannies.”

Golda Rosheuvel, who plays Queen Charlotte says: “I love the scenes with her husband King George, and I think it would be really interesting for a high-status couple to investigate mental health. And I’d love her to get involved with Eloise in finding out who Whistledown is. I love those two becoming FBI detectives.”
