Power Book II: Ghost is an American crime, drama tv show made by Courtney A. Kemp that debuted on September 6, 2020. The series may be a spinoff of the long-running show, Power which came in 2014. After receiving a great reception from the critics and fans, the show finally getting a new season. In September 2020, the arrangement was reestablished for a second season.
Story of Power Book 2 Season 2
The story begins with Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr) slaughtering his father Ghost and the results he has had to confront since at that point. Season 2 continues with Tariq St Patrick, and his travails of juggling college life and attempting to discharge his mother Tasha (Naturi Naughton), who took the drop on his behalf.
Tariq gets weaved within the doings with the infamous Tejada family and finds himself getting to be the man he once abhorred: his possess father.
Showrunner Courtney Kemp’s Take on Season 2
Season 2 might get darker, dangerous, and more complicated. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Courtney Kemp told that “Well, obviously Tariq has committed a huge murder and there’s going to be a big response to that on campus. And Tariq definitely feels like he’s walking around like a ticking time bomb. His relationships are going to get more complicated, and while that’s all happening he’s still got a love life.”
(Spoilers) She also added that Tasha’s parting from Tariq and living in Witness Protection could cause more havoc in Tariq’s life. However, it is uncertain for the creators whether they will bring back Tasha in season 2 or not.
Release Date
Starz confirmed on their made social media, with the caption: “We thought we told you that we won’t halt. Season 2 approximately to be indeed more.”
There has not been any official date for Season 2 but it is expected that it might air in September 2021 on Starz and Starzplay.
