Singer Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom are titled as one of the cute couples of Hollywood. From being together for almost five years to have a baby, they have set a milestone. But the only things that interest the fans most are their dream wedding. Katy is engaged to Orlando but they haven’t tied the knot yet. Let’s check out the whole relationship timeline of Perry and Orlando and their wedding plans.
Meeting and Starting a Relationship
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom first met at the 2016 Golden Globes after-party by Harvey Weinstein. Tabloids reported that both of them seem to be flirting with each other. Us Weekly wrote that they were: “extremely flirty and whispering to each other”.
Their source told: “He would lean in to whisper into her ear and touch the small of her back as they chatted”. Many photographs of there went viral. Later in the year Katy and Orlando spotted many times together. In May 2016 finally, the singer announced that their relationship is official. Perry wrote on Instagram: “We can’t” with her and Orlando’s photo in Cannes.
However, in February 2017 rumors started that Katy and Orlando had broken up. Their representative told: “Before rumors or falsifications get out of hands we can confirm that Orlando & Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time”.
In March 2017 Katy shut down all the breakup rumors. Perry posted on Twitter with direct aggression to the false allegations. She wrote: “HOW BOUT A NEW WAY OF THINKING FOR 2017!? U can still b friends and love ur former partners! No one’s a victim or a villain, get a life y’all.”
Appearing Together and Engagement
In 2018 Katy and Orlando were seen many times attending various functions. In May, Perry went to Prague to visit Orlando at the sets of Carnival Row. In April they visited Vatican City and posed with the Pope. They went to support The Kura Foundation. In May, Katy remarked in American Idol that she is no longer single. Katy told guest star Becca Kufran that: “I am not single but I still like you”. In September, the couple arrived together at Red Carpet. It was for the Gala of Global Ocean, hosted by H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco.
Next year in February 2019, Katy Perry took to Instagram to announce their engagement. She shared a photo where her Shiny ruby diamond ring was clearly visible. Kitty captioned: “full bloom”. In March, rumors were started to spread that the couple is going to get married soon, the venue is Japan, etc. The couple denied all the facts and praised their relationship.
Welcoming Their Daughter
In 2020 March, Katy Perry announced her pregnancy through her music video ‘Never Worn White’. She also posted a snippet of the song on Instagram writing: “Let’s just say it’s gonna be a jam-packed summer…” In April 2020, the couple announced that it is going to be a girl. In August 2020 Katy gave birth to her daughter. The couple announced the name, Daisy Dove Bloom.
Wedding in 2021
After many postpone and rumors Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom still not confirmed their wedding date. In July 2020 Katy refused to get married for the whole year. She blamed Coronavirus and their new parenting experiences. Katy told: ‘I honestly never heard of the other wedding. I only knew of one wedding. Of course, that will come in the future, but for now, we want to deliver a healthy child and that’s what comes up. As for 2021 fans are expecting that the couple might get the wedding done soon.
