Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke have been together for a very long time now. During this time, there were speculations a number of times that they have already engaged. It is great to see them together for such a long time. But are they going to take it to the next level? Will either of them finally pop the question? Or have they already?
In case you did not know who Erin Darke is, she is an actor too. The Flint, Michigan born did her debut in 2009 with the TV show Mercy and short films Obelisk Road and Better Than Nothing. Darke is known for playing Jenny in Still Alice(2014), Natasha in Don’t Think Twice(2016), and Mary in the TV show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel(2017). Now let’s see how the rumours happened.
How the Two Met?
Radcliffe met Erin Darke while they were shooting for the 2013 movie Kill Your Darlings. In a 2015 interview with Playboy, he confessed how he got instantly attracted to her when they were filming their first scene. A year before, he admitted Darke to be his best friend, saying that it is what you look for when you are in a relationship.
In a 2019 interview with People, Radcliffe said the it would be a hell of a story to tell their kids in the future. Because both met on the sets, and the intimate scenes the characters engage in, and the flirting; it would be like a recorded memory.
The Wedding Rumours
Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke have not made many appearances. And the Harry Potter actor has been candid about his relationship, praising his girlfriend. But there have been speculations since 2014 regarding their engagement. The Star magazine reported that he not only proposed, but the two were also planning a wedding at Lake Michigan.
The rumour turned out to be false. Later in December 2014, Ian Darke, Erin’s father; brushed off all the rumours in his short statement to The Flint Journal. He confirmed that none of it was true and there was no marriage or engagement happening.
Later, in 2017, Hollywood Life reported that the two went for ring shopping. At this point, Radcliffe and Darke were together for four years. The source said that they had been talking about marriage for some time and spent heartily on the ring. This rumour was also said to be wrong by a source that told Gossip Cop, that it was absolutely wrong.
What About Now?
No doubt there hasn’t been much news regarding the engagement. But one thing is for sure – they are still together and going strong. Despite numerous reports that they have engaged, the Swiss Army Man actor has yet to propose her. The way he has been open about his relationship, we could actually hear from Radcliffe himself at some point.
