Relationship History

The stunning actress was dating her costar in trapped,  Stuart Townsend, from 2001 to 2010. She had to end that relationship and got together with Sean Penn around three years later. 

However, their relationship comes to an unfortunate end six months later though with their engagement rumors in December 2004 all over the Internet.

Why they had to end things?

Sensationalizing things is how she put it on asked of ending her relationship with  Sean Penn. Some things just don’t work in life and the same applies for couples too; so the breakup was a mutual decision from both their ends when they realized that the thing sere not working as it ought to.

 Realizing you could get used to things like people it was hard truly to end the 5-year relationship for the couple but things are the way they are. She opined that the marriage rumors were just buzz stories and all they did was the date; they dated and they didn’t date!

She has always felt that marriage is not something so important and never came in naturally to her; was not just one of those people waiting for the ring to pop, it seems. 

More than content with her two wonderful adopted kids; Jackson and August, the actor feel she doesn’t get time to feel lonely as her life is filled with the love of those tiny beings, work and career, and all that to achieve in life.

The Long Shot actor is happy in what she is and what she is doing and has made sure that her kids don’t fall into the prey of societal expectations and get into a relationship, only because they ought and rather when they want to.

The actor feels that “We are raising a generation of young girls who realize that there is absolutely no shame in that game to be in relationship with yourself— to not fall into what society kind of predicts for us as what is socially acceptable.”
