Tim Roth confirmed returning as abomination in She-Hulk alongside Mark Ruffalo.
Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Fiege has confirmed that actor Tim Roth will return to the MCU as Abomination. Tim will reprise his role on the upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk alongside Mark Ruffalo.
Return of Abomination
The Oscar nominee actor has played the villainous character Abomination aka Emil Blonsky on The Incredible Hulk 2008. Where Edward Norton played the Hulk. Abomination was defeated by Hulk and handed over to the S.H.I.E.L.D. Later the characters got sidelined as Edward Norton left MCU, and till now Mark Ruffalo has never got any solo Hulk movie. But finally Tim’s Abomination will take revenge in the upcoming series.
She-Hulk & Abomination Connection
She-Hulk is Marvel’s new series where Titiana Maslany will play the titular role aka Jennifer Walters. However Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner will play a cameo role here. She-Hulk will be released in 2022. There are no details regarding the other casts till now.
There is a possible chance that She-Hulk aka Jennifer Walters will have direct connection with Abomination as she is a lawyer and might face him regarding his S.H.I.E.L.D custody.
Tim Roth was previously not sure if Abomination will return in MCU. But he shared an Instagram post regarding his return which confirms the news. He posted a photo of Abomination and wrote: “Also… Charm Offensive incoming!” in caption.
A brief note on She-Hulk
She-Hulk is directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia. Whereas Jessica Gao is the head-writer and creator of the series. She-Hulk is primarily a comedy series. But viewers will have to wait till 2022.
She-Hulk original comics, was released in February 1980. The comic’s name was: “The Savage She-Hulk#1”. The character was created by Stan Lee. She-Hulk or Jennifer Walters is technically a lawyer and Bruce Banner’s cousin.
In the comics Walters faces an injury and Banner gives her an emergency blood transfusion. That leads Walters to become a milder version of Hulk. However Walters can control her ego unlike Bruce. But when she outbursts her anger and temper, she can be as destructive as Hulk. In the original comics Walters got permanently transformed into She-Hulk in later issues.
