The fan-favourite couple and main character of the medical drama, The Resident is looking to extend their family in this season. Emily VanCamp’s character Nic is pregnant with her first child with Conrad. In Tuesday’s episode titled, The Accidental Patient, Conrad and Nic discover that the baby is on the way. They came to learn about the exciting news after they secretly performed a blood test.
Even the actress herself revealed that the fans will know if the baby will be a boy or girl. However, there’s a catch: it would possibly take the time or couple seasons to finally meet the boy. The producers and showrunners could extend a season or two exploring Nic’s life as a nurse and pregnant mother. VanCamp stayed numb when asked to reveal some more details regarding her character in upcoming episodes.
Andrew Chapman, the executive producer of the show also confirmed that Conrad and Nic are going to be parents. He mentioned that they wanted to show to the viewers what a strong marriage and a healthy relationship looks like. Chapman, however, confirmed that viewers have to wait super long to see Con and Nic’s baby. Nicollette is reportedly going to be pregnant for a good long time.

Chapman told that the upcoming two episodes would be crazy and intense and fans are certainly going to scream.
