Career
Rowan started his career in 1979 in a comedy show of his own named” The Atkinson People “. Then he took a turn into television shows and “Not the Nine O’clock News” was his first successful show. Before this, he appeared in a show titled”Canned Laughter”. Rowan was then seen playing the lead role in “The Black Adder”. He did the sequels of this show, “The Blackadder II”, “Blackadder the Third” and “Blackadder Goes Fourth” respectively. After this series, Rowan became more popular.
Now coming onto his most popular character. Rowan appeared as Mr. Bean on New Year’s day in 1990. This show gave him the tag of the best comedian in the world. He also appear in the movie “Mr. Bean’s Holiday” in 2007.
Rowan has also acted in James Bond movie “Never Say Never Again” in 1983 and its sequel. Some of his 1980’s movies include ” Tall Guy”, “The Appointments of Dennis Jennings” and “Four Weddings and a Funeral”. The most interesting one was his voiceover of Zazu in Disney’s”Lion King”.

Benjamin and Lily are his two children from his ex wife. Currently Rowan Atkinson is in a relationship with British comedian Louise Ford.
