We all loved watching the Netflix original series Stranger Things, and eagerly awaiting its next season to arrive. As we get more and more familiar with the story and the characters, it is natural to wonder if some of them are dating in real life. The romantic relationship between Mike Wheeler and Eleven as been making us think – are they dating in real life too?
The Shipping
Since the first season, there have been speculations that Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard could be actually dating each other. In 2016, Finn actually addressed his fans on Twitter, saying that he is just a baby boy. He also said that he does not have a girlfriend. Later, he joked that he was dating the clown from It.
Millie Bobby Brown, on the other hand, did date singer Jacob Sartorius in 2018. Later, she was also rumoured to date Romeo Beckham. As for Wolfhard, her co star, she never commented on it, neither has Wolfhard.
The Pokey Post
On March 29, 2020, Stranger Things co star Noah Schnapp posted on Instagram. The post had a message to tag two people that want to hook up with each other and make things awkward. Interestingly, the post tagged Brown and Wolfhard as well. However, neither of the two commented on the post.
It could be certainly possible that Schnapp was pulling a leg, or two. But the post made the fans think whether there was something going on between the two. Comments, saying that they agree with him and that they wish, shows that fans actually want to see them as a real life couple.
What Does This Mean?
In an interview with E! in July 2019, Brown answered to the question regarding how she and Finn Wolfhard portrayed their on screen romance so believable. According to her, it was relatively easy. The jobs ask for it, the scripts ask for it, the two are comfortable with each other made it easy. Plus they were in a safe environment and felt trusted, so there did not seem to be a problem per se.
She does admit that people hype it as awkward, more than it actually is. But to her, it is just like a friendly thing, nothing to dwell about. In January 2020, she posted a picture on Snapchat with Joseph Robinson, a 17-year-old rugby player. But the couple has moved on as well. So as of now, Brown seems to be single. But as for Wolfhard, he is NOT single. Finn Wolfhard is Dating Elsie Richter. They have been since 2021.
