Netflix’s original show The Crown was first aired on the 4th of November 2016. it consists of 10 episodes and was an epic show. it was well-praised by the critics and loved by people around the world.
It had a huge star cast such as Victoria Hamilton as the Queen’s mother, Jeremy Northam as Anthony Eden, Eileen Atkins as Queen Mary, Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret. Queen Elizabeth II is played by Olivia Colman.
She was also a part of Fleabag. The show’s success allowed the creator Peter Morgan to work on more seasons. The show has 4 seasons now and the fifth season is just around the corner to be released.
RELEASE DATE:
The creator has announced that the production of the show has not started yet but they are ready and will start the shooting from July of this year. The show is expected to be released in the last months of this year. the show was not delayed because of the pandemic.
It was delayed because the show is a period drama and there is a lot of work that goes behind before the shooting even starts. There is a two-year gap between the last sow and this because major changes have to be made and many are related to the addition and removing of the cast.
SEASON 6:
The shooting for season 6, which might be the last season of Netflix’s The Crown will begin in the mid of next year i.e, 2022. The show will be released at the end of next year.
