One of the best shows HBO ever released is Euphoria. The show is beautifully written and it perfectly captures the teen angst that we all have been through. It uses a bunch of high school students to tell a larger story about society, relationships and growing up.
The show is shown from the perspective of a 17 years old drug addict, Rue, who is trying to get back on track. She is the omniscient narrator peeking into the closeted life of some of her schoolmates as she tries to make sense of herself.
Since the show’s narrator is unsure and hallucinating most of the time, the creators use a lot of beautiful and loud ways to make us feel the pain and angst of the main character.
Bold and Imaginative camerawork, the weird breaking of the fourth wall anecdotes, blurred sense of space and time, and some great wildly whimsical scenes help us to enter the mind space of Rue. It elevates the narrative and Provides a layer to another simple story.
RELEASE DATE OF THE SECOND SEASON:
The last episode of the first season ended on 4th august 2019 and we know It was not the end Rue deserved. There’s a lot more to the story. It was one of the few series from which generation Z could relate too without being a cliche.
The creators of this show already announced the second season in 2019 and on 11th March 2020, Zendaya too shared a tweet in which we can see her with Fezco which was titled “Here We Go!!!”. Our Guess, Nov-Dec hopefully.
THE PREDICTIONS FOR THE SECOND SEASON:
The first season of Euphoria was from the point of view of Rue and how it affected her life with the choices she took in the past and the people around her. The story was woven in such a way to allow the viewers to feel what Rue is feeling in the moment with the help of camerawork and editing and music.
The second season although is named after her friend and crush, Jules. We are hoping this season will be from a point of view of Jules and we will get to know more of her story and Rue will be a supporting angle in this season with all the cast to return hopefully.
