The Netflix romantic series has got fans desperate for more! We’re pretty sure if you’ve started the series, you really can’t stop. It is simply addicting and everyone is hoping to see a new season.
Though a second season’s official announcement is yet to be out, the show is listed for renewal. This means that filming should’ve started back in July 2020. Unfortunately, with the pandemic affecting everyone’s plans, dates have been pushed back. Now the film is listed to start filming in March 2021.
When will Season 2 release?
So we’re certain that filming will begin by March of this year. When will the new season release then? According to season 1’s plans, they began shooting by August 2019 and released it by December 2020. If this season is following the same pattern, then we’ll probably see the new season in December 2022. Netflix however, wants to release the show a lot sooner. Perhaps we can expect a 2021 release instead.
What can we expect in season 2?
The first season of the Netflix series is based on Julia Quinn’s novel The Duke And I. The second season, however, will likely be inspired by The Viscount Who Loved Me. In this book, the focus is on Anthony Bridgerton.
Lady Whistledown thinks that Anthony Bridgerton has no plans to marry. She is proven wrong because he already has a bride in mind. Even with his plans to marry the chosen woman, Kate Sheffield stands in the way. She meddles into his business because she believes her sister is not worthy of this man.
In a twisted event, Kate starts developing feelings for Anthony and fears being unable to resist him. Also, Anthony begins to be haunted by seeing Kate in his erotic dreams.
