Actor Halle Berry claims to have made “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” as it gave her a chance to kick out the age.
Asked if it was true that she said yes to “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” without reading the entire script, Berry said: “Yes, because I was a follower of my ‘John Wick’ 1 and 2. and the opportunity to kick age in the face.”
“People of a certain age believe they are finished and can’t do certain things. I knew this would give me a great opportunity to show the most important difference,” she added.
About John Wick
John Wick is an American neo-noir action-thriller media franchise produced by screenwriter Derek Kolstad and owned by Summit Entertainment. Keanu Reeves plays the role of John Wick, a retired striker seeking revenge for the dog’s death given to him by his recently deceased wife.
The franchise of “John Wick”, which plays the role of Keanu Reeves, has elevated the film’s visibility especially due to its departure from the very cliche stereotypical action aesthetics.
The third chapter of the film franchise “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” released last year. It will air in India on April 12 in Star Movies. Stuntman who turned out to be director Chad Stahelski also co-sponsored the third movie.
Berry’s casting
Commenting on how she got the role in the third installment, Berry said: “I got a call from my agent and my manager saying ‘They made John Wick’s third installment. Have you ever seen John Wick 1 and 2?’ I said ‘Oh my gosh! I love it! I saw it. Did they make three ?! ‘ they say ‘Yes and there is a potential role for a fierce woman, would you be interested?’ I said ‘Call Chad right now and get me a meeting, I have to be in this movie!’ ”
Characters Comeback
While some of the characters died in Chapter 3, including Zero (Mark Dacascos), many of the main characters made it clear that they were alive.
The next film is likely to feature the likes of Ian McShane as Winston, Laurence Fishburne as Bowery King, Lance Reddick as Charon, Asia Kate Dillon as Top Table Adjudicator, and Jason Mantzoukas as Tick Tock Man. Anjelica Huston may also return as Director, while Halle Berry may return as the mysterious Sofia.
All three of these films are considered a critical and commercial success, grossing more than $ 587 million worldwide. The fourth installment, John Wick: Chapter 4, is in pre-production and has a release date of May 27, 2022. The fifth installment is also under development and will be shot immediately after the fourth film in 2021.
