Since 1904, Times Square has been doing a traditional New Year greeting to the people. This New York tourist attraction is famous for the tradition: a giant sparkling Waterford ball made of crystal, slops down a pole at sharp 12.00 AM on 1st January every year.

In the very beginning years, the giant ball was made of iron and wood cage with lights attached to it. Presently it has transformed into a technically made multicolored crystal ball.
