When from Ho-Oh Raid Commences

It is official that Ho-Oh will be available in five star legendary raids in Pokémon GO, which commences on Friday, January 1st, 2021 at 4pm Eastern Time. According to Niantic, for the next few days, the raids will appear at gyms all around the globe, concluding at 10am of your local time.

How Many Trainers are Needed

It is likely that at least four trainers in total would be required for any raid battles against this Fire and Flying Pokémon.

Each hour will spotlight a different Pokémon with a chance to earn extra bonus.

On Tuesday: January 5, 2021: Lillipup will be in the spotlight, with a chance to earn twice the Stardust for catching Pokémon.

On Tuesday: January 12, 2021: Drifloon will be in the spotlight, and get a chance to earn twice the XP for catching Pokémon.

On Tuesday: January 26, 2021: Phanpy will be in the spotlight, with a possibility to earn twice the Candy for transferring Pokémon.
