Jason Momoa and his now-wife, Lisa Bonet are one of Hollywood’s most loved celebrity couple. Although, they are a seamlessly perfect couple, Momoa revealed that they spent several years struggling to pay bills while they were living at his Topanga Canyon house with their two children.

Before Jason, Liza Bonet was married to Lenny Kravitz and they also have a daughter, actress Zoë Kravitz. After their separation, Bonet started dating Momoa. They met in 2005 and since then the two have been together. They tied the knot in 2017.

Momoa met Bonet when he was a struggling actor. He was living in a hotel at that time and leading a careless life.
Luckily, he got his role as Kahl Drogo in the coveted HBO series Game of Thrones in 2011, but he was no longer part of the show after the first season as his character met with demise. Therefore, opportunities dried up, and money issues became apparent.
During a recent interview, Momoa admitted that, “I mean, we were starving after Game of Thrones, I couldn’t get work. It’s very challenging when you have babies and you’re completely in debt. I couldn’t even get an agent for three or four years”.
Bonet’s acting career was also not very smooth. She admitted that working as a Black actress, she had minimal roles available. “I don’t know! I always had one foot in and one foot out of the business, so that’s part of it. But also, it’s slim pickings out there!” she said. “There aren’t endless opportunities for women of color, you’ve probably noticed.”
Luckily, things improved, since 2014, when he joined the DC Extended Universe. Mamoa’s acting career has been on fire since he took on the role of Aquaman and became a part of the franchise.
