Jenelle Evans’ Husband David Eason has recently confessed that he killed her French Bulldog, Nugget. Eason said, “It was a situation where my daughter, her health, her safety was in danger”, referencing his 2-year-old daughter, Ensley Jolie.

This made huge headlines back in 2019 and was met with lot of criticisms all round the globe. Following the incident, where her husband shot the pet, Evans was fired from her role in MTV’s Teen Mom 2 and also temporarily lost custody of her children.
Jenelle has come out publicly to defend David claiming that it is not something people want to do, but the decision was taken keeping in mind the safety of their daughter. Eason explained that when Nugget bit Ensley in the face, he knew that it was no longer safe to keep the dog in the house.
He felt the only possible outcome was to kill the dog because if they gave it up for adoption, the same thing might happen to some other family. Eason also explained his decision of not calling the local authorities by saying that he won’t pay anyone else to euthanize his dog, which can do by himself.
Jenelle piped up during the interview saying that they wanted the incident to remain private, but her ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffith found it out from their son Kaiser and then reported it to the cops. She also defended David’s act by blaming it on his country lifestyle.
The 27-year-old Teen Mom 2 star also took to Instagram on May 1, 2019, to share her grief, where she wrote “Nugget… I’m crying every day. I love you so much and I’m so sorry. I’m speechless.
You were my sidekick and knew the moment I felt bad and would cuddle with me. You still had a lot to learn and a lot to grow from your lessons. Every day I wake up you’re not here, when I come home you’re not here when I go to bed… you’re not here. You’re gone forever and there’s no coming back. #Heartbroken #Distraught”
