Nathan Fillion as Captain Malcolm “Mal” Reynolds in Firefly is now getting ready for Disney+ Reboot. 

Is it true that FireFly is rebooting on Disney+?

As it’s been 18 years since the Firefly series premiered lately in 2002 which set the plot in 2517 following the experiences of the crew of a spaceship- Serenity. The crew consists of nine people, touring various worlds and solving the corrupt officials.

Even the series developed for a spin-off, Serenity which was out in 2005. But fans want to see the space heroes again in the Television series. To that answer, Fillion said that he wants to see a reboot on the series Firefly. 

Fox network even thought of reinventing the series, but it seems like Disney is taking over.

According to the recent source, Firefly reboot may come in the Disney+ where the story is going to centralise Captain Mal Reynolds- aiming long-term series. Even the series will be like daily entertainment to the audiences.

Why are people desiring a reboot?

The original series ended unexpectedly after the success of the first season in 2002 with 11 episodes on it. The reason behind the cancellation of the second season is because the drama didn’t meet with its expectation review. So, Joss Whedon finished off and left the audience blank, later turning into new projects.

As we could see Whedon projects haven’t earned much more than the series-Firefly, so we may expect this time Whedon will make it happen. And also he has been in an assault case on the set.

Is Nathan Fillion returning or not for the reboot?

Nathan in an interview picturising the reboot of Firefly “Seeing the young cast take over the story of Firefly’s reboot’. According to his statement, it might sound like he craves the younger generation to grab the opportunity of playing. But, still, we hope that he returns as Captain Mal in the reboot on Disney+ if it is going to happen soon.
