The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 8: Preview
In the seventh episode, Mandalorian went undercover at the Imperial rhydonium refinery on Morak to track Moff Gideon’s ship. The New Republic Marshal Cara Dune takes Migs Mayfeld, former Imperial sharpshooter, at her custody so that he could help them acquire Moff Gideon’s ship’s coordinates. In order to get the coordinates, Mayfeld needs to have access to the internal Imperial terminal.
The party arrives at Morak, where Mando and Mayfeld disguise as troopers and tries to enter the refinery. While they are driving towards the refinery, pirates attack them and try to blow them with explosive rhydonium. Mando and Mayfeld barely survives and enters the officer’s mess hall to acquire coordinates. The terminal requires a facial scan and takes his helmet off. Soon, they are confronted by a commanding officer and tense drink results in Mayfeld shooting the officer.
Mayfeld shoots the officer to death after he insulted the dead soldiers from Operation: Cinder. They manage to escape the place, thanks to Dune and Shand who take down the troopers from far away. Mayfeld blows the Imperial refinery and impresses Dune, who then lets Mayfeld go free. The most exciting part was the ending scenes, where Mandalorain threatened Moff Gideon that he will attack them and rescue the child. He seemingly mentioned that the Child is more important to him, and Gideon has no idea about it.
