SSC CHSL is one of the notable national-examination in India, that takes place every year. The main motive of the examination is to recruit eligible candidates for various posts across several departments and offices of the Government of India. A candidate wishing to get the post of Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC), Data Entry Operator(DEO), and Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) can apply to the examination.
SSC CHSL recruitment 2020-21 has already commenced on November 6, 2020. The online application form is available on the official website, however, a candidate can apply through offline mode as well. Since the number of candidates applying for the exam is always higher, Staff Selection Commission selects the best candidates after three stages. After successfully filling the application form, the candidate will appear for the SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam. The candidates have to clear certain cutoff set by the commission to qualify into next round. SSC CHSL Tier 2 is a descriptive type exam, and qualifying the exam will take you the candidates to Tier 3 — Typing Test/ Skill Test.
SSC CHSL 2020-21 Exam Date
In the official recruitment notification issued by the commission, the SSC CHSL Tier-I exam will be held on 12 April 2021 to 27 April 2021.
The date for the other tiers hasn’t been revealed yet.
SSC CHSL 2020-21 Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must have passed 12th from recognized Board for all posts. However, for DEO in C&AG, the candidate must have selected Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from recognized Education Board in India.
The aspirants also must be an Indian citizen, subject of Nepal, or Bhutan. Furthermore, Tibetan refugee and a person of Indian origin also can appear for the examination. The candidates must be aged between 18 and 27 years, before filling out the application form.
SSC CHSL 2020-21 Exam Pattern and Syllabus
For SSC CHSL Tier 1 online examination, there would be 100 objective-based questions — 25 questions from each of the four subjects. A candidate can score a maximum of 200 marks within 60 minutes of examination. The objective type question will be set in both English and Hindi language, however, there is a 0.5 negative marking for each wrong answer.
English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness are the subjects featuring in the online examination. The SSC CHSL Tier 2 examination will be offline mode and candidates have to prepare for only Essay Writing and Letter/Application Writing.
SSC CHSL 2020-21 Exam Registration
The online application form for the examination is available on the official website. A candidate can apply for the examination until December 15. The candidates have to pay INRs. 100 after successfully filling the online application form. Candidates can pay the application fee through online mode by December 17 and through offline mode by December 21.
