Speculations are arising that Michael B. Jordan shall not only act but also direct the third movie of Creed. This movie shall be his first directorial debut. This big piece of news was first given by the Deadline.
The report stated:
“While MGM is working on a Creed sequel that Michael B Jordan is considering to direct, and a new creative team is aggressively building a promising slate”
MGM studios produced and distributed the Creed II in 2018. Additionally, it produced the Creed too, while Warner Bros. distributed it in 2015.
Previously, Jordan was an executive producer and also starred as the protagonist in Creed II. Well, it was a huge hit with a collection of $214 million globally.
Zach Baylin shall pen the script
Back in February, it was revealed that Zach Baylin shall be the scriptwriter for the Creed III. Zach Baylin is renowned for his work on the upcoming biopic King Richard which stars Will Smith.
However, there is still no confirmation regarding the news. Despite the delay for the Creed III, Jordan has not slowed down on his way to success in his career.
He is set to play John Clark in the upcoming film Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse directed by Stefano Sollima. It is said to be out by 2021.
Furthermore, he is said to appear in Wrong Answers by Ryan Coogler.
Creed III, written by Zach Baylin shall star Michael B. Jordan and Phylicia Rashad in the lead roles. However, no further details about the remaining cast, the begin of the filming, or the release date have been announced.
The Creed franchise is a spin-off of Stallone’s remarkable and popular “Rocky” universe.
