Hulu’s Live TV loses Yankees’ YES Network as well as Sinclair’s regional Fox Sports Networks

Hulu + Live TV Plan will not be containing Sinclair-owned regional sports networks, including a slew of Sports-branded channels anymore. The company sent out an email to customers on Friday informing about the same.

Hulu couldn’t strike a deal

The company wrote, “ We were unable to reach an agreement with Sinclair Broadcast Group to continue offering channels like your Fox Sports RSNs, YES Network, and Marquee Network. “ The Yes network airs New York Yankees and Brooklyn Nets. While Marquee is home to Chicago Clubs games.

Earlier, this month Fox RSNs also disappeared from Youtube TV. The service said that they were unable to strike a deal with Sinclairs despite months of negotiations. Fubo TV dropped the RSNs in January as well, and they left Dish Network’s satellite and Sling TV offerings last year.

Sinclair got 21 Fox RSNs from Disney, which sold them in order to close out its Fox merger. Sinclair also took a stake in the YES Network, which was done in yet another deal with Disney. The latter has full control of Hulu following an argument with Comcast.
