The landing page of Disney+ has confirmed WandaVision will be one of the Disney+ additions which were supposed to be released in the year 2020. There are eight new Marvel shows releasing, and WandaVision will be one of the first to launch. WandaVision is a show described as “bonkers” by actor Paul Bettany. It is said to be unlike anything we’ve seen in the MCU. Especially by Marvel executive Kevin Feige.
For WandaVision, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany-led show was originally announced to be coming out in 2021. But, eventually was moved up to 2020 a few months later. Now due to this coronavirus pandemic, it has been postponed back to the year 2021 again. This happened because the productions were halted. However, there were recent signs that this might not be the case. The release of the first trailer further signified that WandaVision was coming sooner than ever. Even though the trailer didn’t confirm a release date, it now appears that a 2020 release is official. We couldn’t be more excited about it.
What Is WandaVision?
Marvel Cinematic Universe is coming out with a new show called Wanda Vision. This show is suspected to take place after the 2019 Avengers: Endgame. The final film in the Avengers saga. It will also be the show where Marvel will test the waters with the small screen. Other shows to look forward are The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Ms Marvel, She-Hulk, and Moon Knight.
Although Wanda/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) is back from the brink thanks to The Avengers, her beau Vision (Paul Bettany) is still dead due to his death at the hands of Thanos in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War. Because Vision died before Thanos “snapped” half the universe away, Vision did not return with Wanda when the Hulk undid Thanos’ genocide in Avengers: Endgame.
Does WandaVision Have a Trailer?
Yes, it does indeed. The trailer properly shows off the dreamlike TV-sitcom premise of the series. The strange and warped reality Wanda and Vision appear to be trapped in, the full teaser is a seriously mind-melting look at Marvel’s first Disney+ series.
Given that Vision is a powerful synthetic being, it is possible his consciousness survives but is in danger of being lost. That’s where Wanda comes in, using her psychic powers to rescue Vision before it’s too late.
Initially Marvel had unveiled a 30-second clip featuring three of the Marvel shows coming to Disney+, including WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki.
