Special and Smart gameplay – borderlands 3 dlc release with update 1.16 adds krieg dlc 4

Borderlands 3

Borderlands 3 is a first-person loot shooter, shares the same core loop with previous games around taking on missions, defeating enemies, and obtaining loot from fallen foes or special chests, most often in the form of procedurally generated weapons to vary in damage, range, ammo capacity, and other special perks, giving the game “over one billion.  Although the gameplay is crisp and unquestionably fun, it does not justify the storyline shortcomings in a title where the core gameplay loop involves the repetition of a poor story as part of the endgame. Once you get the right gun and well enough down the skill tree, the combat is enjoyable. Borderlands 3 plays like Borderlands 2 after it took a few years off to eat clean, exercise daily, and read a book. It’s bigger and smarter, but deep down inside it’s still the same juvenile, violent game that I fell in love with.

Characteristics in Play

Players, either playing alone or in parties of up to four people, make a character from one of the four classes available and take on various missions given out by non-playable characters and at bounty boards to gain experience, in-game monetary rewards, and reward items.  The game introduces four new playable characters: Amara, a “Siren” who summons ethereal fists; Moze, a young “Gunner” who rides the mecha Iron Bear; Zane, an “Operative” with a variety of gadgets; and FL4K, a robot “Beastmaster” who summons creatures to aid in fights.  Unlike previous Borderlands games where each character had only one unique skill that operates on a cool down, each character in the new game can unlock three unique skills, though only one can be equipped at a time, greatly expanding the number of potential character builds a player can make.

Update 1.16 Adds Krieg DLC 4

Gearbox has confirmed that the Borderlands 3 DLC 4 release date has been set for Thursday, September 10, 2020.  Borderlands 3 update 1.16 just went live on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, adding support for Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck, as well as a big level cap increase and a few buffs as mentioned below.

  • Extra two ammo SDU upgrades for pistols, shotguns, submachine guns, assault rifles, and grenades also two expansion SDU upgrades for the Lost Loot machine on Sanctuary-III
  • The “Refill Ammo” prompt would persist for clients in a multiplayer session
  • Players will now have a chance to redeem themselves in Fight For Your Life when Slayer is active and they have killed an enemy with a melee
  • Mayhem modifiers will no longer change when players join through matchmaking
  • The Beastmaster’s Headcount passive skill no longer prevents Rakk Attack from gaining the proper number of charges when scoring critical hits
  • The Beastmaster’s Friend-Bot class mod now increases pet damage
  • The Gunner’s Drowning in Brass passive skill now applies bonus damage to both of Iron Bear’s weapons.

The major focus of update 1.16 is, of course, the level cap increase and support for the game’s fourth, and possibly final, DLC expansion. Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck takes players into the erratic mind of Krieg in search of a mysterious place called Valhalla. There, you’ll be able to collect new Legendaries, encounter new enemies, and unlock cool cosmetics along the way. Given how Maya’s plot unfolded in the main campaign, one can assume we’ll get a little more insight into the impact of that troubling situation as well.
