Miami Heat has been exceptional in this NBA playoffs and continued to display their momentum in Eastern Conference Finals Game 1. They defeated the third-seeded Boston Celtics 117-114 in the overtime, thanks to Bam Adebayo’s impressive block. The Eastern Conference Finals Game 2 will tip-off at 7.00 PM Eastern Time on Thursday, near Orlando.
Miami Heat were 12 points behind while entering the fourth quarter. They outperformed Celtics 35-23 in the final quarter and 11-8 in the overtime to achieve victory. The match was thrilling to watch, and both teams are gearing up to deliver similar performance tonight. Bam Adebayo’s block on Jayson Tatum’s block with just 3.7 seconds became the turning point of the match.
Lakers legend and the NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson tweeted that the block was the best defensive play of the playoffs. Heat’s forward Jimmy Butler also believes that the block was a really great play and would agree with the former NBA superstar. The Heat has lost only one game in the entire 2020 playoffs season, while the Celtics are behind for the first time in this playoffs series.
Celtics’ guard Kemba Walker admitted that he hasn’t played good and said that he would be better in Game 2. Sure, Butler and Adebayo lead the team to victory in final minutes, but Goran Dragic played really well scoring team-high 29 points in the game.
