Apple Watch 6 Launched with Innovative Blood Oxygen Monitoring SpO2 Sensor, Specs, Prices, Features

Apple Inc. has successfully concluded the Time Flies online event, where the company revealed a new generation of Apple Watch. The new flagship wearable looks similar in appearance in comparison with the previous generation watches but features a few significant upgrades.

The Apple Watch Series 6 has all the features introduced by Apple in its wearable over the year. Furthermore, the device has introduced a brand-new innovative feature called blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring. Of course, the watch features the ECG tracking and an always-on display; another intriguing feature is its new S6 chipset. The new chipset increased the performance 20% faster than the previous watches.

Apple Watch 6 Price

The company released the Apple Watch 6 in three models. Among the three models, Apple Watch 6 GPS-only model is the cheapest one, which starts at $399. Then comes, the slightly advanced and larger 44mm model that starts at $429. And at last, comes the GPS + cellular variation — the most expensive out of all watches. You can visit the official Apple Watch 6 webpage to pre-order these smartwatches. The shipment will begin from September 18, without a power adapter.

Apple Watch 6 Features

Apple Watch 6 is easily the most advanced smartwatch from the company. The major feature of this smartwatch has to be blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring. Apple Watch 6 has amazing blood oxygen sensors that reportedly measures the oxygen saturation level of your blood. A user would know if his/her blood oxygen falls down an ideal concentration. Generally, the measurement of 95%-100% is considered an ideal concentration of oxygen in the blood.

The smartwatch is powered by a watchOS 7, and the latest software update brought Apple Watch sleep tracking. The new watchOS 7 upgrade also added several other features like dance, core, and functional strength training. Apple Watch 6 didn’t have an upgrade in one prominent department — the battery. The battery life of the iWatch 6 is 18 hours, same as the previous two generation iWatches. However, the battery can fully-charged in 90 minutes — a feature not available in previous generations.
