LA Clippers will have the first-ever Western Conference Finals appearance if they manage to closeout Denver Nuggets on Friday. The Clippers lead the best-of-seven series 3-1 after their 96-85 victory on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Nuggets has to pull another miracle if they want to advance ahead in the series.
The tip-off will begin at 6.30 PM Eastern Time, near Orlando at the NBA Bubble.
The path to avoiding elimination in the playoffs is difficult for Nuggets, but it’s not that they can pull-off. They are in a pretty similar situation as they were in the first round. However, they brilliantly made 3-1 deficit comeback and advanced to conference semifinals. Only 12 teams (including Nuggets) have overcome the 3-1 deficit in NBA history.
Nuggets’ Murray who had been exceptional in the first round, hasn’t been able to deal Clippers’ defence. Clippers have been sending several defenders at even, even including Patrick Beverly and Kawhi Leonard. He concluded the fourth game of the series with only 18 points and seven assists. Denver hasn’t been that good in the offence as they are unable to discover the rhythm in the offence.
Leonard was exceptional again on Wednesday at both offensive and defensive end. He scored 30 points during the game with 11 rebounds, while he played for 39 minutes.
