Tom Terrific is no more. The veteran pitcher and Hall of Famer passed away peacefully at his house on Monday. The former New York Mets pitcher was 75 years old when he took his last breath.
The professional baseball family confirmed the sad death news to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Seaver’s wife Nancy said in the statement that she is mourning along with her daughters and Seaver’s fans. They were horribly heartbroken to share the death news. The pitcher died because of the complications caused due to the Lewy body dementia. He has also tested positive for the COVID19, and this too caused his sad death.
Rob Manfred, the MLB commissioner, extended the condolences on the loss of one of the greatest pitchers of all-time. He added that Tom carried out his responsibility, distinctively all his life of being a father, a husband, and the World Series Champion.
During his professional baseball career from 1967 to 1986, he played with for the four amazing MLB teams including Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, and New York Mets. He played a major role as a pitcher when the New York Mets won the 1969 World Series.

The executive director of the MLB Players’ Association also sends his sympathies to Seaver’s family and all his fans. Seaver had been the player’s representative for the Players’ Association when he was at the Mets. He retired with an impressive record of 311-205 record and a 2.86 ERA. He played for an incredible 20 seasons in the Major League Baseball.
When Seaver was inducted to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, he amassed the highest number of votes. His percentage of votes was the highest number to be ever recorded until the year 1992. Henry Aaron, a fellow Hall of Famer admitted that the Franchise was the toughest baseball pitcher he ever faced in his career.
