The new reports suggest that Google’s flagship phone, Google Pixel 5, will roll out as early as this month globally. Google phones aren’t up to the mark based on the performance, but they are beast and the best in the photography department. For instance, Google Pixel 4 still ranks in the best camera phone of all time. 9To5Google reported that Pixel 5 along with the Pixel 4a (5G) had passed the FCC certification.
So, FCC certification suggests that the phone is closer to the launch. Since iPhone 12 is also close to the release date, the phones will be competing against the already market-dominant Samsung Galaxy S20 and S20 Ultra. The Pixel phones would probably have another amazing camera quality and improved system performance. Since Pixel’s camera has always been the plus point, Google will try to innovate in that department.
Furthermore, the Pixel phones have more pressure than ever to introduce an outstanding camera as Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra already features an impressive camera. Galaxy S20 Ultra’s 108MP resolution and 10x lossless zoom have already put Google Pixel 4 behind. If Pixel 5 doesn’t come with an impressive camera than Galaxy S20 Ultra’s, then the device couldn’t compete with them.
There hasn’t been much talk about the specs, but we can safely assume that the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 765G. Pixel 5 would most potentially come with a 6-inch display and 120Hz refresh rate.
Google Pixel 5: Release Date & Price
Like Apple, Google has been consistent in relating the flagship phone in a similar time-frame. So, we can expect the company to release Google phone in September or October this year. But, considering that this year has been wild, Google might delay the release of the Pixel 5. Apple has already announced that they won’t release the new iPhone 12 in September, like every year, due to the coronavirus health crisis.
A renowned leaker — with an impressive track record — tweeted that the Pixel 5 will release on September 30. The phone will be probably inclined to the line of $1000 mark because the competitor phone has already reached the mark. If we guess the price considering Pixel 4’s $799, then we can assume Pixel 5 to cost around $899.
