Donald Trump Jr. gave a speech on Monday at the Republican National Convention. But then again, his gritted teeth, sweaty face, and glazed eyes quickly drew attention towards him. It was presumed that he was driven by cocaine. He was trending on Twitter in a matter of minutes. Several memes of this situation circulated widely, and the people could not get enough.
Stephen Colbert’s Response to the RNC speech
Humourist Stephen Colbert of ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ took a jab at the eldest son of Donald Trump. This is what he said:
“So before I tell you what he said, can we zoom in on Junior’s sweaty face and wet, bloodshot eyes? Either he’s high or that’s what happens when you live in the splash zone of Screamin’ Guilfoyle. Just bring a poncho!”
He was mentioning Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend and the presidential advisor Kimberly Guilfoyle and even labeled her a vengeful banshee. This got her to trend on Twitter too.
Trump Jr. paid a visit to Fox & Friends which is hosted by Steve Doocy on Wednesday to speak up regarding the trolls of him being coked up.
Attack at Hunter Biden
He took this as a chance and started taking a pick at his political adversaries.
He stated, “It must have been something with the lighting. They started doing this tending thing – ‘Donald Trump Jr’s on cocaine’ and every one of that – I said, no no-no. You have me confused with Hunter Biden”.
So, he held the ‘lighting’ responsible for his sweaty face and glossy eyes. He joked about the matter and said that the people who made those accusations and gossiped about it must have gotten him confused with Hunter Biden, the second son of Joe Biden.
Hunter Biden had quite a history regarding his battle with drug addiction. After he failed the drug test so was discharged from the Navy Reserve in 2013.
He even slammed actress Bette Midler who had mocked the First Lady Melania Trump for her accent in the past and surmised that he had moist eyes because he must have fought with his girlfriend who was literally hollering throughout the whole event.
In the end, he even condemned the Democratic National Convention by saying that it was a never-ending Zoom call of ‘I Hate America’.
