Google has just announced that Google Duo is coming on Android TV soon.
Google Duo on TV
Just a few days back Google had announced Chromecast support for Duo and now they have said that Google Duo will be coming on TV soon.
This year every company has tried to make their video calling platform better than the others and it seems like Google is playing a trump card to win this fight. Having Google Duo on a big screen like a TV will just enhance the experience. A beta for this will be launching soon. And fear not if your TV doesn’t have a camera( which I guess is quite common in TVs), Google has also announced that you will be able to plug in an external USB camera for the calls.
Google Duo is already supported on Nest devices like Nest Hub or Nest Home and its availability on TV can just be what Google needs to beat its competitors like Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
Another important update
Another very interesting report is that Google is planning to merge Duo and Meet. Apparently they believe that having both together doesn’t make any sense.
