It is believed that someone on twitter also shared an in-depth account of a Japanese website looking for specifications from the Kernel code. As said, the new zenfone7 is an updated version of Asus 6Z.
Therefore, from the kernel code, it was quite evident that Asus is retaining a lot of 6Z features into the new model. The new zenfone7, as revealed, will have a flip camera from 6Z but with few better modifications. Instead of two cameras as in 6Z, senfone7 will have three such sensors. The main camera will use a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor. This could be accompanied through a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor as an extremely-extensive camera. The third camera will be a Time-of-Fight (ToF) sensor. Hence, one may anticipate higher depth results with portrait mode pics.
Moreover, the leaked images suggest a gradient back panel finish. The new model is also expected to come with side-mounted fingerprint sensors. Another post revealed, displaying the device from all angles. Up the front, the tool has a notch-less and bezel-less screen.
The aspect-hooked up fingerprint scanner is in reality seen on this render, and there appears to be no 3.5mm audio jack help here, unlike its predecessor which did provide this port. Furthermore, the speaker grille and the USB Type-C port are seen on the lowest side. Now talking about the battery of the device, the ASUS Zenfone7 is tipped to boast a 5,000mAh battery with support for up to 30W fast charging.
The device is also expected to run on Android 10. RAM listing suggests 16GB and may be available in 6GB, 8 GB and 12 GB RAM variants. It was also revealed that the device is equipped with 16GB RAM, which hints at the device being able to deliver great performance. Other various reports also state that the smartphone scored 975 in the single-core test of Geekbench and recorded a score of 3346 in the multi-core test. Therefore, promising good durability and higher performance.
