A piece of good news for I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! It will start in less than a week. The official list of celebrities in the jungle in 2022 has finally been made public.
The 2020 and 2021 seasons of the show took place in Wales. As COVID-19 travel restrictions were the first time when celebrities went into the Australian jungle since 2019.
On the official I’m a Celebrity app, viewers can already vote for who they want to become Jungle VIPs. These people will spend their first night on an island and face the show’s first challenge. It will be back on ITV on November 6 at 9 p.m.
Who will join the lineup I’m A Celebrity?
Boy George, Sue Cleaver, Owen Warner, Scarlette Douglas, and Mike Tindall MBE are all on this year’s lineup. Moreover, Charlene White, Chris Moyles, Jill Scott, Babatundé Aléshé, and Olivia Attwood will join them.
George said this about why he was in this year’s lineup: “I’m tired of being an icon in the corner, and if you want to be successful in the world, you have to be on TV. This is the most popular show on TV, which is why I’m on it.”
At the same time, Attwood explained why she was on the show, saying: “It’s the best show out there, so I didn’t even have to think about it. I said yes right away.”
Who will be hosting the show?
Ant and Dec will again be hosting this season. Moyles, who has known them for a long time, said he knows they will enjoy seeing him get nervous.
He joked: “If Ant and Dec want to switch places with me for 24 hours, I’m happy for me and one other camper to host the show while they live in the jungle. I’ll give you that right now! Ant will be fine, but Dec is so small that he might have trouble.”
Presenters Ant and Dec drop a suitcase into the jungle from an aeroplane. Dec yells, “Where’s the luggage going?!” Ant says, “It’s meeting us there.” The news was posted on the show’s official Twitter page less than two weeks before the new season started.
People say that ITV moved the start date up so there wouldn’t be as many conflicts with the World Cup, which starts later in the month. Every year, the show starts on a Sunday and runs for three weeks until the end of November.
