In six years, Rihanna has announced her first brand-new song. Hence, the artist shares a 14-second clip along with the lyrics to the song “Lift Me Up” and the date 10.28.22 on Twitter.

Wakanda Forever will be Lift Me Up. After teasing the song, Rihanna showed up with her rapper boyfriend, ASAP Rocky. Also, with Rocky, she gave birth to her first child earlier this year at the movie’s international premiere.
The singer’s participation in the film, according to director Ryan Coogler, was a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, who played Black Panther. Sincerely, he says that “He believes it was Chad.” Further, Rihanna did that for him because many implausible things had to happen for it to come through.
As rising music plays in the background, we can hear the Barbadian singer’s unmistakable hum in the song’s video. Further, an R shines into the light and flanks by her name. Also, the song’s title writing is in Wakandan, a language in the comic book universe.

According to Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems, who co-wrote it with Coogler, Swedish composer Ludwig Goransson, and Rihanna, it was a huge honor to hear Rihanna sing the song. “After talking with Ryan and hearing his direction for the song and the movie.” Tems explains, “He wanted to compose something that represents a warm embrace from all the people we’ve lost in his life.”
