In a new two-part drama about the “Wagatha Christie” trial that gripped the country last summer, Michael Sheen will play Coleen Rooney’s lawyer.
Vardy v. Rooney: A Courtroom Drama will air later this year on Channel 4. The Bafta-winning actor Chanel Cresswell (This Is England, Trollied) will play Rooney, and Natalia Tena (Harry Potter, Game of Thrones) will play Rebekah Vardy.

Sheen will play Rooney’s lawyer, David Sherborne. Simon Coury will play Vardy’s lawyer, Hugh Tomlinson KC, who has represented a “who’s who” of clients, including King Charles III. Meanwhile, Dion Lloyd plays Wayne Rooney, and Marci Nagyszokolyai plays Jamie Vardy.
