Through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, actor and 16-time WWE world champion John Cena got his first wish in 2002. Over the next 20 years, he made almost 650 wishes come true for seriously ill children worldwide.
Guinness World Records says that the 45-year-old actor and wrestler is now the person who has had the most wishes granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The WWE star has made 650 kids’ dreams come true.
About John Cena’s foundation
In 2002, John Cena worked with Make-A-Wish for the first time. Ten years later, in 2012, he was the foundation’s 1,000th wish. Make-A-Wish lets children with life-threatening illnesses between the ages of 2 and 18 make a wish that will be granted.
Guinness says that Cena is the celebrity whose wishes are asked for the most. Since the foundation started 42 years ago, no one else has granted more than 200 wishes.
John Cena told The Hollywood Reporter about his commitment to the foundation, “I want them to have an experience that will stay with them forever.”

He talked to ESPN about the foundation and how much he loved doing what he did when he was honoured for granting 500 wishes in 2015.
