Netflix launches its own version of ‘Heads Up!’ exclusive to subscribers

Streaming platform Netflix has launched a new mobile game called Netflix Heads Up! The game is free-to-play for those who have a Netflix subscription. The game is Netflix’s version of the popular party game Heads Up! In this game, players have to guess the word on the other player’s forehead within a span of one minute.

Netflix Heads Up! Was developed in partnership with Ellen Digital Venture. This game is like a twist on charades. It includes 28 playing decks that are inspired by popular Netflix series like Stranger Things, Bridgerton, Shadow and Bone, Squid Game, and social channels like Geeked and Strong Black Lead.

This mobile game will allow players to test their and their friends’ I.Q. when it comes to Netflix. As per the company blog, “Whether you have a party of five or fifty, prepare for some fierce head-to-head competition. Want to nail down your best Eddie Munson impersonation? Start playing now.

Netflix Heads Up! Will be available to users on the Netflix app on their Android and iOS devices. The game will also allow users to share recordings of their matches on Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, and other platforms. It will also be available in 15 different languages including French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Thai.

How to Play Netflix Heads Up Game?

This game is free to play and has no ads and no in-app purchases. The game is based on the board game Am I a banana? To play this game, users have to hold their smartphones over their heads. This way, they can’t see what’s written, and the other player sees it clearly and tries to describe what the word is. After the phone holder gives the correct answer or their one minute is up, they put the screen down to get another word.

Netflix Heads Up! has eight decks inspired by various titles from Netflix. Players can choose between shows such as Bridgeton, Stranger Things, and Squid Game.

The arrival of Netflix Heads Up! has increased the number of games in Netflix’s catalog to 27. The company says that it hopes to have over 50 games under its belt by the end of the year.

Recently, Netflix launched three new in-app mobile games called Before Your Eyes, Into The Breach, and Mahjong Solitaire on its platform. The most-awaited game of the three is Before Your Eyes, which won the British Academy Video Games Award (BAFTA) for Game Beyond Entertainment that year
