Joe Sugg, a well-known face on YouTube in the UK, is starting a production company with support from BBC Studios. The company will create formats for both entertainment and factual entertainment.
A contract has already been reached between Final Straw Productions and the BBC’s commercial arm—which has previously collaborated with Sugg—to develop, produce, and distribute programming for audiences of all ages. According to the agreement, Sacha Grimsditch, who now oversees BBC Studios’ Celebrity Big Painting Challenge and Top Gear, will work with Sugg and become the company’s development executive. Grimsditch will assist Sugg in setting up the business.

A huge presence on Instagram and TikTok, he is a British YouTube sensation with 7.5 million followers. His second-place finish in the BBC One entertainment format Strictly Come Dancing, which draws millions of viewers each week, helped him break into the public eye in 2018. Additionally, she has written a series of graphic novels, and most recently, she tried her hand at acting by making an appearance on BBC One Syndicate from the Mailbox.
