Robyn Griggs, an actress active in the theatre, film, and television industry passed away. She was most known for creating the part of Maggie Cory on Another World. Her age was 49.
Griggs disclosed in earlier posts that she had been undergoing treatment. Her treatment was for endocervical adenocarcinoma at the stage four level. The previous month, Griggs announced that she had been diagnosed with four tumors. She stated that she had “two new tumors on my liver, one on the abdominal muscle, and a massive one on right side lymph node.” In addition, just a few days before she passed away, the news was posted on her Facebook page that her father would take her to a hospital.

On August 13, a buddy shared the news that Griggs had passed away. The message stated, “With a heavy heart, I am devastated to announce Robyn’s passing,” and it was written with that sentiment. “However, she is no longer enduring any pain, and she would want us to remember that fact in addition to the happy memories we shared with her.”
Robyn Griggs was born on April 30, 1973, in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. She began her career in the entertainment industry as a child performer, performing the role of Molly in the stage adaptation of the musical Annie. From 1986 through 1988, she was a host on the Nickelodeon show Rated K: For Kids by Kids.

Griggs received a nomination for a Young Artist Award for her role as Stephanie Hobart on One Life to Live. In this, she played for a total of six episodes between the years 1991 and 1992. The year after that, she made her debut on Another World as the character Maggie Cory, but just two years later, in 1995, she was let go without any fanfare or explanation.
Griggs insisted that she was terminated from the serial because of her association with the infamous tabloid star John Wayne Bobbit. Even though the producers of the drama indicated they were going on a different path with the character. Griggs stated that they were simply friends with each other.
After that, Griggs took a break from acting. She didn’t get back into the business until 2003. When she started appearing in largely independent horror films like Zombiegeddon and Dr. Horror’s Erotic House of Idiots. Her most recent role was in Joey Hollywood’s Movie Night 2 in 2015, her final film. In 2020, Griggs disclosed that she had been diagnosed with cancer.
