Tonikaku Kawaii: ‘Over the Moon for you, Fly Me to the Moon’ is Japanese Television anime series based on illustrator and writer Kenjiro Hata’s famous manga series. Tonikaku Kawaii premiered for only 1 season in October 2020. It had 12 episodes and the premiere ended in December 2020.
Though Tonikaku Kawaii’s producer Seven Arcs Studios didn’t give any official statement regarding the second season, the Tonikaku Kawaii Original Video Animation or OVA is announced lately to be released in 2023. There is a high chance of renewal of the show before the OVA’s release. Rumored dates are late 2022 or early 2023.
Story in Brief
Tonikaku Kawaii or Fly Me to the Moon is a love story of married couple Nasa Yuzaki and Tsukasa Tsukuyomi. Nasa is an intelligent teenager who faces a fatal car accident on the way to his elite school entrance exam. Masa is saved by Tsukasa, it was love at first sight.
Nasa later confesses his love to Tsusuka, but she mentions a weird condition, that they have to marry each other first. Nasa eventually leaves his school and starts building his career for the sake of Tsusuka. Years later they both marry each other.

The 1st season of Tonikaku Kawaii gained positive responses and huge popularity. The whole 12 episodes of season 1 tell Nasa and Tsusuka’s life journey until their marriage. The final episode of season 1 titled ‘Husband and Wife’ ends with a lovely message about how their life evolved since they first met each other.
