Top Artists List in Billboard Music: The young sensation of western music The Weeknd has finally grabbed the top position in Billboard Music Awards. The Weeknd is very popular and has created many music albums which entered in Billboard chart list. However, in Grammy’s the musician was not appreciated enough. But in Billboard Music Awards along with the top artist title he grabbed 7 more awards.

The Weeknd is a Canadian Artist born in February 16, 1990. His real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye. The Weeknd began his professional career in 2010. He created mix tapes such as House of Balloons, Thursday, Echoes of Silence etc. His popular albums are Trilogy (2012), Kiss Land (2013), Beauty Behind the Madness.
The Weeknd’s recent famous albums are Starboy (2016), After Hours (2018). For his singles like Blinding Lights, Heartless, Save Your Tears, Can’t Feel My face etc. he won many awards including Grammys. In 2016 Grammy his Beauty Behind the Madness won Best Contemporary Album, following the Starboy in 2018 Grammy.
2021 Billboard Music Awards and Top Artists List in Billboard Music:
2021 Billboard Music Awards named The Weekns the top male artist, top radio song artist, top R&B artist and top R&B male artist. His After Hours album got the title of top R&B albums. Also his single Blinding Lights received top radio song and top R&B song title.
The Weeknd received yet another ‘top’ awards. He got top Hot 100 artist. While presenting the awards Lil Rel Howery teased The Weeknd that he can compete Glen Close in dancing on ‘Da Butt’ in Oscars. The Weeknd also joked on his outfit: “Thank God I don’t have to wear that red suit anymore.” He was always on the character of his music album referring a broken man with facial injuries.
The Weeknd performed Save You Tears on the award show. Several other artists including Nick Jonas, DJ Khaled ft H.E.R also performed. Meanwhile, Drake won the Artist of the Decade Awards, Pop Smoke won the top Billboard 200 album awards. Bed Bunny awarded Top Latin Artist, Gabby Barnett won top country female artist, BTS also won several awards for top duo, tip song sales artist etc.
