Elgort is well known for his work in Baby Driver and The Fault in Our Stars. The film is majorly based on the popular novel ‘Romeo and Juliet’ written by William Shakespeare. The film is based on a romantic musical drama. The Choreography is given by Justin Peck.

The story narrates the modern-time love of Romeo and Juliet with two rival New York City gangs duking it out in the streets of the high-class Wes Side.
The two rival gangs of the street are Jets and Sharks. Tony, a handsome guy also a former member of jets fall in love with the girl Maria, The opposite gang member’s sister. They both fall in love and confess their love for each other.
They used to meet in secret until one day when both the gangs planned on fighting one final battle. Let’s see what happens in the ultimate battle. What problems are they both going to face?

The 2021 adaptation of West Side Story which was filmed in parts of New York and New Jersey is all set to release on December 10, 2021. Like other films, the release was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The scheduled release date of the film is December 10, 2021.
