Strout and Eisenberg dated for eleven years after meeting in 2002, before a temporary breakup in 2012. Eisenberg reconnected with Strout in 2015 after volunteering for four months at a domestic abuse shelter in Bloomington, Indiana, where Strout’s mother is the executive director.
